Rhode Island Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program

Known as the Food Stamp Program in the past, the SNAP program grants low-income single mothers and families money to keep food on the table via an EBT card. The amount granted varies depending on the level of need and the situation, as well as the total amount of household income.

The Amber Grant Program

The Amber Grant program is available to women who own a small business and are looking to expand while improving the lives of other women and girls. One of the best out there, this program grants 12 female entrepreneur per year (one each month) with $1,000 in cash, and an opportunity to be chosen to receive an additional $10,000 at the end of the year.

You can fill out your application online by answering a few questions about yourself, your business, etc, and paying the $15 application processing fee. At the end of the year, all twelve recipients will be entered, and one will be chosen to get an extra $10,000 in cash for their business/cause.
